  • 4.1 oz mayonnaise
  • 4.4 oz soured cream
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill
  • 2 tbsp red onion
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 slices rye bread
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper

    Start by preparing the shrimp salad. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, mayonnaise, and soured cream. Stir gently until everything is evenly coated.

    Add the finely chopped red onion, fresh dill, and lemon juice to the shrimp mixture. Season with a generous pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper. Mix everything together, then taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

    Cover the bowl and refrigerate the shrimp salad for at least 20 minutes. This allows all the flavors to meld together beautifully.
