  • 1.5 fl oz triple sec

    Start by gathering all your ingredients and tools: a cocktail shaker, a strainer, and your serving glasses. Having everything ready makes the mixing process smooth and enjoyable.

    Take one of your glasses and use a lime wedge to run around the entire rim. This will make the salt stick. Then, spread a small amount of coarse sea salt on a small plate. Dip the moistened rim of the glass into the salt, giving it a gentle twist to coat it evenly. Set the glass aside.

    Place one large ice cube into your salt-rimmed glass. This helps keep the drink cold without diluting it too quickly. If you like, you can pop the glass in the freezer for a few minutes to get it extra frosty.

    Fill your cocktail shaker about halfway with fresh ice cubes. Pour in the white tequila, triple sec, and freshly squeezed lime juice. Secure the lid tightly.

    Shake the shaker vigorously for about 15-20 seconds. You'll know it's ready when the outside of the shaker feels frosty and cold to the touch. This step is key to getting the perfect chill and a bit of dilution.
